DONATE

There are several ways to donate to the 2016 SJF auction:

Procurement

There couldn’t be an auction without items to sell, and there wouldn’t be items to sell without a procurement team to find them.

Procurement means helping obtain items to be sold at the SJF Auction, either by soliciting them from donors, donating them yourself or purchasing something to donate.

If you’re interested in helping procure items for the auction, contact Kelley Wilde atkelley_wilde@yahoo.com .

Family Bags

Family bags are SJF School reusable grocery bags that families check out in early fall and fill with items that are sold during the silent auction on auction night.  Family bags can be filled with anything – clothing, toys, games, jewelry, goodies for him or her, gift cards for experiences, wine, sports equipment, and more. Use your imagination!

If you checked out a Family Bag, please fill it and turn it in as soon as possible. The deadline for getting Family Bags and other donations is Oct. 7.

Underwriting

Underwriting is cash that individuals or businesses donate to help offset the expenses incurred by the school to stage the auction. The more underwriting donations collected from sponsors, the more profit the school earns from the auction.

Cash underwriting donations are 100 percent tax deductible provided the donor receives nothing of value in exchange for their donation.  Some companies offer employee donation matching programs, with dollar-for-dollar or other matches for whatever contributions an employee makes. If you’re considering underwriting, check with your employer to see if they run such a program.
